Permit Required: No – busking is welcome and unlicensed

Key Rules

Fixed Pitches: None – buskers should choose locations carefully

Location: Must not block highways or shop entrances

Amplification: Small battery-powered amps only; no amplification between 9pm and 8am (Control of Pollution Act)

Performance Duration: 45 minutes continuous suggested before taking a significant break

Volume: Keep volume just above ambient street noise

Cooperation: Be prepared to move if requested
